Management team

Alan is responsible for all Corporate Development activity and is based in the US, where he is focused on deepening Norgine’s North American relationships.
He has over 30 years’ experience in the pharma industry, having held senior Corporate Development roles at Lupin, AMAG, Purdue Pharma and Shire.
Alan started his career in the pharma industry as a scientist and he holds a BSc in Clinical Microbiology and an MA in Biology with a concentration in Molecular Biology and Genetics from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He is also an MBA graduate, from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Raj Daruvala is the Vice President, Transformation Management at Norgine. In this role, he is responsible for delivering Norgine’s Transformation Programme, aptly titled NewChapter. He joined Norgine in June 2018 as Head of Financial Planning and Reporting.

Raj has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry having worked for Bristol Myers Squib in UK and the US holding a number of roles in Finance supporting Commercial, R&D, Manufacturing and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Raj has an MBA from Indiana University, USA and is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Dr David Gillen is the Chief Medical Officer at Norgine.

David qualified in Medicine, Physiology and Clinical Pharmacology from St. Mary’s Hospital in 1992 and joined Pfizer in 1999, where he spent 12 years in a number of local and global roles, including UK Medical Director and VP of Medical Affairs for Pfizer’s Primary Care Business Unit.

Subsequently David worked in a number of senior roles at Celgene, Gilead Sciences, Vertex Therapeutics and Menarini, working across Specialist Care and Rare Diseases, before joining Norgine in 2022.

Marc Gorham is the Vice President, IT at Norgine.

Marc joined Norgine in 2005 as Business Analyst to consolidate our ERP systems. Since then he has undertaken a variety of roles within the IT function, that he now leads, and has been instrumental in its evolution.

Prior to Norgine, Marc delivered technology initiatives as a consultant for PeopleSoft, JDEdwards and Catalyst Solutions across a variety of industry sectors.

His career started in healthcare during his 13 year tenure with Oxford Instruments.

Martyn has a wealth of leadership, commercial and marketing experience from Consumer Healthcare and FMCG companies and all major markets and channels. Prior to joining Norgine in 2023, he was CEO at HRA Pharma. He joined HRA in 2017 as the company’s Chief Global Commercial Officer. Prior to this, he worked for Boeringher Ingelheim based in Germany as the Global Head of Trade and Shopper Marketing, building on 10 years’ experience at Reckitt Benckiser, where he held several senior roles globally. His early career involved roles at Boots the Chemist, Boots Healthcare International and within the drinks industry.

Sheila Hopkins is the Chief Legal Officer at Norgine.

Prior to joining Norgine in 2006 Sheila worked for the law firm Latham & Watkins in London and New York and clerked for a Federal Court judge in the Second Circuit, New York.

Sheila holds a BA from Harvard College and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Wendy Logan is the Vice President, Business Unit Head for Launch Brands and Growth Brands at Norgine.

Wendy has more than 20 years in industry from big pharma to biotech start-ups. Throughout her career, she has gained deep leadership experience in country and global commercialisation functions, in Specialty Care, with a specific focus on building launch expertise.

Saulo has a wealth of expertise, over 28 years on various operations roles across consumer healthcare and FMCG industry. He has lived and worked in Brazil, Mexico, United States, France, and United Kingdom.

Prior to joining Norgine in 2023, he was the Senior Vice President for Manufacturing excellence for the L'Oréal group, based in Paris and prior to this he was the SVP for Global Manufacturing network at Reckitt Benckiser.

Originally trained as a Mechanical engineer, Saulo has also obtained a master’s degree in leadership and strategy at London Business School. He has a passion for Operational Excellence, Lean Transformations and building high performing leadership teams.

Richard has a wealth of expertise, over 25 years in senior roles across sectors. Prior to joining Norgine in 2023, Richard was CFO in PE backed International Pharma businesses Abzena and NextPharma, both leading CDMO’s in the large and small molecule respectively. He is a Chartered Accountant by background with extensive experience gained at Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse.
